Instructions to Change Greetings or Music On Hold in Broadvoice Ring Groups
Before you begin, save audio files provided by our studios to your computer in a convenient location, such as your desktop. Follow the steps below to change the custom greetings or music on hold for your Broadvoice phone service.
Log in to your Broadvoice Portal – you’ll need administrator access.
Note: You can access the Sound Manager anywhere there is an orange cloud with an arrow in the middle.
To Change Your Broadvoice Greetings or Music On Hold for a Ring Group:

Before you begin, save audio files provided by our studios to your computer in a convenient location, such as your desktop. Follow the steps below to change the custom greetings or music on hold for your Broadvoice phone service.
Log in to your Broadvoice Portal – you’ll need administrator access.
Note: You can access the Sound Manager anywhere there is an orange cloud with an arrow in the middle.
To Change Your Broadvoice Greetings or Music On Hold for a Ring Group:
- Click on the Settings, then Groups from the dropdown menu.
- Click on any of the Ring Groups you have created to change the Greetings or Music on Hold. (If you need to create a new Ring Group, click on New Group.)
- Click the cloud arrow next to “Play Greeting” to locate the appropriate greeting file from the Sound Manager. If you have not yet uploaded the greeting file, click on the “Upload” tab & follow the prompts.
- Click the cloud arrow next to “Music On Hold” to locate the appropriate on hold program file from the Sound Manager. If you have not yet uploaded the greeting file, click on the “Upload” tab & follow the prompts.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Instructions to Setup and Add Custom Auto Attendant Greetings to Your Broadvoice Phone Service
Before you begin, save audio files provided by our studios to your computer in a convenient location, such as your desktop. Follow the steps below to setup and add custom auto-attendant greetings for your Broadvoice phone service.

To Setup or Add Custom Auto Attendant Greetings to Your Broadvoice Phone Service:
Before you begin, save audio files provided by our studios to your computer in a convenient location, such as your desktop. Follow the steps below to setup and add custom auto-attendant greetings for your Broadvoice phone service.
Log in to your Broadvoice Portal – you’ll need administrator access.
Note: You can access the Sound Manager anywhere there is an orange cloud with an arrow in the middle.
To Setup or Add Custom Auto Attendant Greetings to Your Broadvoice Phone Service:
- Click on the Settings, then Destinations, then select Auto Attendant Menu from the dropdown menu.
- If your Auto Attendant is already setup, select the greeting you wish to change and follow the prompts.
- If you need to create a new Auto Attendant, click on the New Auto Attendant Menu button.
- Name: give the greeting a name that indicates its purpose, such as Daytime Greeting.
- Select the cloud arrow next to Greeting to upload or locate the appropriate audio file.
- Menu Timeout: Select whether you want the menu to repeat or to direct the caller to another destination. (If you choose “transfer to another destination”, a new dropdown menu will open to allow you to configure where the call is routed).
- Options: configure the options stated in your greeting (if options are noted). Follow the prompts to create the option selections.
- Click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Instructions to Add Audio Files to your Broadvoice Sound Manager
The Broadvoice Sound Manager page is where you can access, upload & manage audio files used for your phone services, such as Music On Hold, Voicemail Greetings, and Auto Attendant Greetings. Before you begin, save audio files provided by our studios to your computer in a convenient location, such as your desktop. Follow the steps below to add custom audio files to your Broadvoice Sound Manager.

To Upload Audio Files to the Sound Manager:

The Broadvoice Sound Manager page is where you can access, upload & manage audio files used for your phone services, such as Music On Hold, Voicemail Greetings, and Auto Attendant Greetings. Before you begin, save audio files provided by our studios to your computer in a convenient location, such as your desktop. Follow the steps below to add custom audio files to your Broadvoice Sound Manager.
Log in to your Broadvoice Portal – you’ll need administrator access.
You can access the Sound Manager anywhere there is an orange cloud with an arrow in the middle.
To Upload Audio Files to the Sound Manager:
- Click on the Upload tab.
- Click or drop an audio file from your computer into the Sound Manager box.
- Name the file so that you’ll know where it should be used such as Daytime Greeting.
- Click Continue to Save the audio file to your Sound Manager.
- To delete a recording click the red circle icon (right side).
- To edit the name of a recording click the blue edit icon (right side).
- To listen to a recording click the blue play icon (left side).
- To download a recording click the blue cloud icon (left side).
